FBI Agents Killed During the Performance of Law Enforcement Duty

1952 - 1988

Special Agent Scott K. Carey, age 35, was an instructor assigned to the FBI driver training program. On May 9, 1988, while on duty instructing a defensive driving school at the Special Operations Center, New Paltz, New York, SA Carey was the victim of a serious automobile accident. SA Carey was taken to a Middletown, New York, hospital, where he died the following day as a result of injuries sustained during that accident.
