Photograph of LadyMy name is Lady, and I am a Weimaraner. Weimaraner is a type of dog that is originally from Germany. I live with my handler Ann-Margaret in Dallas, Texas. Ann-Margaret is a Special Agent with the FBI, and she adopted me after I had been hit by a car. She thought that I would make a good search dog, and she was right!!

It took me a while to break in my new handler, but we really get along well. You see, sometimes I can be pretty stubborn and want to get my own way, which isn't always the best for me. So my handler took me to obedience school and we learned how to work with each other. I have attended two schools which have taught me and my handler how to search for missing persons and for evidence. I still have alot to learn since I've only been doing this type of search work since April of 2000. Sometimes I get to work with Dallas FBI's Evidence Response Team. It is so nice to be a part of a team!

Photograph of Special Agent LadyMy handler and I like to run and play together, and when I am good, I get treats! Every night we walk or run three miles together, even in the rain, so I can get my exercise which my handler tells me is important. After our exercise, I like to eat ice to cool down. Sometimes my handler gives me baths, which I don't like very much. Do you like to take baths? Sometimes I make people laugh by the silly things I do, and that makes me feel good. It's always great to be able to do good things for others, no matter how big or small.

I hope that I might get a chance to meet you someday, because I really like kids and want to be friends. Be good! Licks and smooches.
